Hey there! My name is Wei Ze and everybody usually calls me Alex for the ease of communication.
I am an aspiring Game Designer that loves solving design problems and always have a knack for some creative narrative.

I always strive to create a compelling and exhilarating game experience for my players.

3D Tactical Action Game

Level Design Assistant

Skull & Bones is an upcoming action video game developed by Ubisoft Singapore and published by Ubisoft. A tactical action game where players take control of a pirate captain, sailing through the Indian Ocean.

PRETERNATURAL

3D Narrative Driven Horror Game

September 2017 - April 2018

Lead Narrative, Level Designer & Art Lead

Preternatural is a 3rd-year project done in DigiPen with a team of 7 members over a span of 6 months. The game trades complex gameplay for an immersive psychological horror experience. Utilizing simple mechanics, the player sets out to explore a seemingly abandoned mansion.

2.5D Action Strategy Mobile Game
May 2017 - August 2017

UI/UX Designer

Arena of Riches is a hypothetical mobile game that is worked on in a team of 4 as part of a UX module assignment. The objective of the assignment is to use UX tools such as empathy map, personas to draft out the primary, secondary and tertiary target audience. In addition, to create Low-Fidelity & High-Fidelity Prototypes for testing and visualization.

AEGAEON

2D Top Down Shooter Game
August 2015 – December 2015

Game Designer & Art Lead

Aegaeon is a 1st year project done in DigiPen with a team of 4 using Zero Engine over a span of 3 months. The game brings a twist to classic top-down shooter games. It features an experimental mechanic of collecting Power ups which will orbit around the player's ship and execute up to 4 different types of projectile abilities. Combining with the ability to combine powerups and expel unwanted powerups. 

GEMINI

2D Action Adventure Puzzle Platformer Game
September 2016 – April 2017

Lead Game & Level Designer, Artist

Gemini is a 2nd-year project done in DigiPen with a team of 6 members over a span of 6 months. The game featured a on-the-fly switching mechanic to provide a challenge for players to perform and quick movements involving platform and combat while also finding a balance between puzzle and combat gameplay.
